Caterina Mazza (1977) è dottore di ricerca in Scienza Politica e Relazioni Internazionali presso il Dipartimento di Studi Politici (Università di Torino). Dopo aver conseguito la laurea in Storia Contemporanea presso la Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia dell’Università di Torino ha frequentato il Master di Peacekeeping Management organizzato dall’Ateneo torinese. Riguardo al tema della tortura ha svolto diversi progetti di ricerca, tra cui la collaborazione a Rete italiana in supporto alle vittime di tortura (2001-2003)/fondo EIDHR - ricerca, curata dalla Fondazione Cecchini Pace, dall’Associazione Franz Fanon e da ICS -, e ha pubblicato i saggi: La tortura in età contemporanea: metodo di interrogatorio o strumento di potere? (in «Quaderno di storia contemporanea», anno XXXIII n. 47, 2010) e Tortura oggi: perché no! Riflettendo su Abu Ghraib e Guantánamo (in «Teoria Politica», anno XXIV n. 1, 2009). È mamma di Filippo.
